Relationship between Demographic Characteristics and Patients' Satisfaction with TU Teaching Hospital's Services

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between demographic characteristics and patients’ trust in doctors. To reach the goal of the study research, a cross-sectional time horizon and descriptive study method were used. Results revealed a significant relationship between age and patient satisfaction regarding trust at TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal. This indicates that patients of various age groups expressed different levels of trust in the hospital. Additionally, the analysis also indicated a significant relationship between gender and patient satisfaction regarding trust at the same hospital. However, there was no significant relationship found between the number of visit times and patient satisfaction regarding trust. These findings imply that age and gender play a role in shaping patients' trust levels, while the frequency of visits does not significantly impact patient satisfaction with trust at TU Teaching Hospital. As a renowned hospital, TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal enjoys higher levels of trust from patients who visit from different districts across Nepal.

सारांश

यस अध्ययनको उद्देश्य जनसांख्यिकीय विशेषताहरू र विरामीहरूको डाक्टरप्रतिको विश्वासबीचको सम्बन्ध पत्ता लगाउने थियो। अध्ययनको लक्ष्य प्राप्त गर्न क्रस-सेक्सनल समय सीमा र वर्णनात्मक अध्ययन विधि प्रयोग गरिएको थियो। नतिजाहरूले नेपालको काठमाडौंस्थित टियू शिक्षण अस्पतालमा विश्वास सम्बन्धी विरामी सन्तुष्टि र उमेरबीच उल्लेखनीय सम्बन्ध देखाएको छ। यसले विभिन्न उमेर समूहका विरामीहरूले अस्पतालप्रति फरक स्तरको विश्वास व्यक्त गरेको संकेत गर्दछ। साथै, विश्लेषणले उही अस्पतालमा विश्वास सम्बन्धी विरामी सन्तुष्टि र लिङ्गबीच पनि उल्लेखनीय सम्बन्ध रहेको देखाएको छ। तथापि, भेटघाटको संख्या र विश्वास सम्बन्धी विरामी सन्तुष्टिबीच कुनै उल्लेखनीय सम्बन्ध पाइएन। यी निष्कर्षहरूले उमेर र लिङ्गले विरामीहरूको विश्वासको स्तर आकार दिनमा भूमिका खेलेको संकेत गर्दछ, भने भेटघाटको बारम्बारताले टियू शिक्षण अस्पतालमा विश्वास प्रति विरामी सन्तुष्टिलाई प्रभावकारी रूपमा असर गर्दैन। एक प्रतिष्ठित अस्पतालको रूपमा, नेपालको काठमाडौंस्थित टियू शिक्षण अस्पतालले नेपालका विभिन्न जिल्लाबाट आउने विरामीहरूको उच्च स्तरको विश्वास प्राप्त गरेको छ।
