Research Philosophy

There are many research philosophies. Which one is suited to anyone who is doing research in depth? The question in itself is more question. I have found the following philosophies:

positivism
realism
interpretivism
objectivism
subjectivism
pragmatism
functionalist
radical humanist
radical structuralist

We have choices then.
deductive or inductive

We have to follow strategies.
experiment
survey
case study
action research
grounded theory
ethnography
archival research

Then after we have to choose one of the following approaches:
mono method, mixed method or multi method

After that we have to set the time horizons.
cross sectional or longitudnal

At last it comes into techniques or procedures:
data collection and analysis
